Rachael Nagy Miller
Formally introduced to Calligraphy in early 2019, Rachael’s fingers have been stained by ink ever since. In search of the most elegant letterforms, learning new scripts and techniques are the fuel for her conquest in calligraphic excellence.
Driven by a passion for all things typographic & calligraphic, Rachael is a professional calligrapher and type designer, with the skills to breathe life into your special event or occasion. Specialized in a wide variety of script types and styles, Spencerian, Copperplate, & Fraktur are among her favorites. Rachael works in calligraphy, engraving, foiling, and gilding for any live event or activation. The possibilities are endless when working with someone who’s passion is calligraphic communication and quality.
Rachael holds a BFA from the University of the Arts in Graphic Design with a double minor in Business and Advertising, along with a graduate certificate in Type Design from the Cooper Union, Type@Cooper Extended Program. Rachael has completed a wide variety of courses and workshops in calligraphy with topics ranging from Casual Script Sign Painting to Off Hand Flourishing and Ornamental Penmanship.
