Spring Floral Cartouche

Using a simple pen drawing technique and the graceful strokes of a pointed pen Heather will create a versatile floral cartouche that can augment your calligraphic work. Cartouches are the building block of borders, corners and frames. They are easy to learn and a beautiful accent to pointed pen calligraphy.

  • Straight holder with your favorite pointed pen (vintage Hunt 21 used)

  • Practice Paper (Maruman Imagination Paper used)

  • McCaffery Brown Ink

  • 5”x7” cardstock

  • Bleed proof white with mixing brush and water dish

  • A few coloured pencils (Faber Castell Polychromos used)

  • Gold watecolour or gouache (Schmincke Gold watercolour used)

  • Sakura Gelly Roll pen: Clear Stardust
